Her trial was for the most part a political and a theological (religious) one. The judges and interrogators were most definitely biased as they were on the side of the English. The interrogators asked her questions they
thought would make her look and sound as though she was a witch. They asked her to describe her "voices" (S.t Michael, St. Catherine, and St. Margaret). She displayed more intelligence then the interrogators would have thought.In the end, the judges came up with twelve convictions, but could not convict her of witchcraft.
